The newest entry in the Mario + Rabbids series, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, is set to release October 20, 2022. The release date first leaked with a store listing, but but has since been confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct Mini.

A trailer shown during the Direct included Mario and his team of Rabbids, with Bowser joining the crew. The trailer had a brief combat demonstration of the heroes using their various moves and tools like Bob-ombs, noting that they now move freely instead of on a grid. Preorders opened alongside the announcement on the Nintendo eShop.
